BETFINAL SPECIAL

The majority of football fans across the globe have been delighted with what they have seen in the first round of the World Cup, that cannot be said about the defending champions Germany. After an opening day defeat they now face Sweden in a crunch game that could see them going home after only 2 games! Can super Sweden send world champs Germany home!?

Germany Vs Sweden, Group F – FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia, Fisht Olympic Stadium. 23rd June 8pm.

We predicted the German’s to be the flop of the tournament, but I don’t think many saw them flying home after only two games, in contrast the Swedes are flying high! Their first appearance at the World Cup in 12 years was rewarded with an opening day victory against South Korea, meaning a victory against Germany will see them reach the knock out stage for the first time since 2006 and send home the defending World Champions! Crazy!

Talking of ‘defending’ champions, its quite ironic that the German’s defence has fallen to pieces, and it doesn’t end there. It seems the dressing room is also crumbling under the pressure, with numerous members of the German team openly criticising their team mates, manager, performances, and tactics!

It was added insult to injury after a cheeky stunt by a Swedish news reporter who turned up at Germany’s training session today and forced two airline tickets back home into the hands of German midfielder, Sami Khedira. Who didn’t take two kindly to the stunt. He threw the tickets away and screamed “We don’t need those tickets – and we won’t need them on Saturday.” We shall soon see about that Sami…

Are the Germans already crumbling to the Swedish pressure? Will we see the one of the greatest shocks of the World Cup and send German out at the group stage for the first time since 1938!

Kom igen Sverige!! (Come on Sweden!!)
